In 1749 , Jacob sold his farm in Southborough, Ma. to Robert Fay ( 1715-1810 ). The property was situarted in Southborough about one and a half miles east by south from the center. The family removed to Petersham, Ma. where Jacob bought and then operated a Inn. He built a house opposite Sunset Lane. Both of these he deeded to his son Jonas in 1779. The Inn was later operated by Jonas's son Nathan.
In 1780, Jacob and Amity followed the rest of there children to Westmorland, N.H. They finally settled in Littleton, N.H. and lived with there youngest son Silas.
